Abstract Acinetobacter baumannii infections pose a grave risk to hospitalized patients due their resistance antimicrobial substances. This necessitates the urgent development of novel therapeutic strategies. By comparing genetic repertoire between pathogenic and non-pathogenic we discovered traits that offer surprising insights into how pathogen interacts with humans. However, much remains be learned about pathogen’s phenotypic diversity.
